An innovative, commercially driven scientist with over 18 years of active research and development experience in both industry and academia. With a BSc (Hons) in Marine Science and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Microbiology, Tracy is passionate about utilising untapped natural resources to promote sustainable solutions for commercial applications.

Holding roles such as Commercialisation Champion and Head of Science, she has extensive experience in developing medical and diagnostic devices, discovering novel compounds, and establishing bioprocesses from feasibility to commercialisation. Tracy has a proven track record in designing and developing complex multidisciplinary projects, aligning with key milestones through commercially driven KPIs, ensuring timely delivery of scientific applications to industry.

As a qualified Biological Safety Practitioner with the Institute of Safety in Technology and Research, she is well-versed in multidisciplinary laboratory design, commissioning, regulation, and operation.

Having built a career in biotechnology, working with clients in the food, medical device, pharmaceutical, and industrial sectors, Tracy has a solid understanding of the challenges they face and how novel technologies, products, or services can offer solutions. Tracy continues to promote this sector by providing experienced, guided advice and support.

As an active member of the Scottish Fermentation Network, Institute of Directors, IBioIC, and the Global Scot Network, she remains at the forefront of scientific advancements and industry trends.
